Privacy Policy

This site belongs to Arda Akdere, a sole proprietorship registered in Türkiye. I believe privacy policies should be readable, so this one is written in plain language. If anything is unclear, email me at arda@ardaakdere.com.

The short version

• This site uses no cookies. None.
• I never sell or share your data with advertisers.
• I collect your email only when you give it to me on purpose, and every email I send includes an unsubscribe link.
• I use privacy-respecting analytics to improve the site.

What I collect and why

Analytics

I use PostHog (PostHog Inc., hosted in the United States) to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, what gets clicked, and basic device information. It runs in a cookieless mode, stores nothing on your device, and does not track you across other websites. PostHog may also record anonymized session replays (how a visitor moves through the page) so I can find and fix usability problems.

Email address

When you subscribe to the newsletter or request a downloadable resource, your email address is processed by Kit (ConvertKit LLC, United States). I use it to deliver what you asked for and to send occasional emails about my work. Subscriptions are double opt-in: you confirm your address before anything is sent. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.

Emails you send me

If you email me directly, I keep the correspondence for as long as it is relevant to our conversation or work together.

What I don't do

No advertising trackers, no fingerprinting, no selling of personal data, no third-party cookie banners because there are no cookies to consent to.

Service providers

The site is hosted on Render (Render Services, Inc., United States). Analytics run on PostHog and email runs on Kit, both named above. Each processes data only to provide their service to me.

Your rights

Wherever you are, and in particular if you are in the EU or UK where GDPR applies, you can ask me to show you, correct, or delete the personal data I hold about you. Email arda@ardaakdere.com and I'll take care of it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the date at the top will change with it.
